After growing up in CA on an avocado grove, Tavia came to NYC to attend Barnard College. Upon completion, she performed as a modern dancer and worked in the downtown art scene. She later went on to receive her MFA in Dance followed by an MFA in Theatre, both from Sarah Lawrence College. She has trained at William Esper Studio, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, and The Labyrinth Theatre. She has originated roles of Nelly in Nelly at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Billie in Shekinah at LaMama, and Jenny in Mrs. Jenning’s Sitter at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios. When not performing in theatre and film, she works behind the film camera in the Art Department and is a proud new mom. She is thrilled to be playing Lois and working with such a great cast and crew.
