Fabuloso, by John Kolvenbach - A Benefit Reading (March 2012)
Moxie Street most recently produced and put up a very lively reading of John Kolvenbach's Fabuloso at the famed Irish Repertory Theatre. This event allowed us to bring in some of our most dedicated audience members for a fun evening of art and wine, and some much needed funds were raised for our next project.

The Mistakes Madeline Made (LA: May/June 2011)
Before writing and collaborating on one of TV's hottest shows, The New Girl, Elizabeth Meriwether wrote a gem of a play, and Moxie Street was THRILLED to be entrusted with it's successful Los Angeles premier!
Elizabeth Meriwether's crisp, irreverent and thought-provoking comedy about Edna's struggle to grapple with personal tragedy by rejecting all things complacent, pampered and clean - including showering - invites us to embrace filth, family and forgiveness with humor, heart and hordes of high-end handiwipes.

Blue Prints - A Reading Series
Moxie Street takes great pride in carefully choosing, developing and discovering new works and published or well-known material that we feel strongly about. The Blue Prints reading series gives us the opportunity we need to pull great actors together in a room with directors, set designers, producers and possible investors to hear a play come to life off of the page. This is the space where we can hear the work for the first time and collaborate, discuss and make important decisions about the viability of a workshop or final production.

La Joie - The Play Project
One of the most fun things about working with a group of incredibly talented people is finding opportunities to play. This is exactly what we did in the summer of 2010 when Artistic Director, Kimberly Yates, conducted an experimental workshop for Moxie Street members, using exploratory creative outlets to explore and workshop the various characters of a new play. We have more Play Project workshops on the horizon, as they give us and the playwrights an opportunity to fine tune characters within their plays.
